This course proposes to the students to exercise their logical mind through fifteen puzzles based on shapes and geometry. Then, they also discover some basics of how a robot works and how to program it.

You may want to ask students to define the words “logic” and “reasoning”, and to think together about the areas of everyday life in which these two words can be used.
Solving various puzzles requires knowledge of the geometric properties of certain polygons and polyhedra, which may be interesting to review before your visit (e.g., the properties of a square, a pyramid…).
During the animation, students solve as many challenges as possible. The teacher has a handout to help them solve the puzzles, while the facilitator provides them with their own programs to run the Thymio robot.
